In the mid sixties a young girl named Suzy Hinton wrote a story about teenage gangs in her school. The story, published while she was just 18, went on to create the Young Adult genre and sell millions of books. In 1983, "The Outsiders" was made under the direction of superstar director Francis Ford Coppola and assembled maybe the greatest young cast in movie history. Also that year, Coppola stays in Tulsa and continues his use of that young cast creating what some refer to as his masterpiece. Join us as we discuss and celebrate the 40th anniversary of these movies, giving love to Tulsa along the way.
